On June 6-7, 2023, Kyiv's Art Arsenal will host an exhibition showcasing businesses from war-affected regions of Ukraine.

Purpose of the Event:

"East-Expo 2023" seeks to assist MSMEs that have relocated from, or are based in, the war-affected regions of Ukraine. The goal is to help them establish business partnerships, expand their operations, and enhance their competitive edge. Approximately 80 MSMEs from diverse industries will showcase their products. These participants will receive assistance in preparing their displays and in forming new partnerships with businesses from Ukraine, the EU, and other global regions. East Expo 2023 aims to mend economic ties disrupted by Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Furthermore, it will aid in post-war recovery, digitalization, and globalizing the commercial endeavors of businesses from the affected areas.

Fair:

Within the "East-Expo 2023" framework, a fair will be organized where exhibitors can sell their products to attendees. This fair will receive separate promotion to ensure a high turnout from Kyiv residents and visitors alike. Online broadcasts are slated to be featured on platforms such as the UNDP Facebook page, YouTube, the event's official website, and the Diya.Business platform.

Panel Discussions:

International partners, alongside national and regional authorities, public figures, and local entrepreneurs, will converse on topics like economic recovery, resilience in the face of crises, business relocation and adaptation, energy efficiency, export potentials, and interregional economic collaboration.

Presentations:

Experts will enlighten entrepreneurs about how innovative technologies can rejuvenate and expand their businesses.

Master Classes:

Throughout the event, gifted Ukrainian artisans will conduct master classes in pottery, embroidery, handcrafts, and other traditional arts.

Terms of Participation:

Attendance at "East Expo 2023" is complimentary for both businesses and visitors. UNDP will shoulder all expenses associated with hall rentals, exhibition setups, freight transportation for equipment and products, organization of B2B discussions, participant catalog creation, online exhibition setup, and promotional materials for MSMEs.

Safety Measures:

The safety of all participants and visitors is paramount. In case of an air raid alert, the exhibition will momentarily pause. Attendees will be guided to secure locations within the venue. Once the alert ceases, the exhibition will resume.
