June 2026 – Analytical Report

In this report:

■ June weather in Ukraine: Stable summer warmth (average temperature 19.7°C, +0.4°C compared to June 2025) and 49 mm of precipitation. Overall, a moderately wet month with no major weather-related stress affecting berry development. Includes temperature and moisture maps.
■ Seasonal price decline for major berries: The arrival of the domestic harvest drove raspberry prices down from approximately UAH 1,050/kg to UAH 170/kg, while strawberries reached their seasonal low of around UAH 130/kg. Blueberries also fell below UAH 500/kg for the first time this season.
■ Climate pressure on competitors: In Serbia, the raspberry harvest is expected to be 20–30% below normal, while in Poland plantation conditions remain uneven due to April frosts, creating a tighter supply outlook for the frozen berry industry.
■ Summary of frost damage: Industry estimates indicate total losses of approximately 3,000 tonnes of berries, including about 1,740 tonnes of strawberries and 1,170 tonnes of raspberries. Blueberries were largely unaffected.
■ Record raspberry export revenues: Raspberry exports generated €239.3 million during the first eleven months of the 2025/26 season (+58% year-on-year). The report also highlights the continuing shortage of wild blueberries and the steady expansion of cultivated blueberries, based on Eurostat data through April 2026.
■ Regulatory updates, July outlook and trade fairs: Suspension of grant applications for raspberry producers, the proposed reduction of the EU MRL for fenarimol, July weather outlook, and key international trade fairs — Asia Fruit Logistica and Fruit Attraction — to support export planning.
